Formerly known as Muffin’s Quickie Croissants, now known as Martha’s
Preheat oven to 325ยบ
Ingredients:
- Soften 1 envelope yeast in 1 cup warm water
- Add: 3/4 cup evaporated milk
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1 egg
- 1 cup flour
Recipe:
- Pulse 4 cups flour with 2 sticks unsalted butter cut into TB bits until the butter is the size of beans. Place in large bowl.
- Pour wet over dry, folding gently until the flour is moistened.
- Cover and refrigerate 2 hrs to 4 days
- Divide dough into 4 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a 16 inch circle. Cut into 8 wedges and roll up
- Place on greased baking sheets and let rise 2 to 4 hours
- Beat 1 egg with 1TB water and lightly brush the risen croissants.
- Bake 35 minutes until golden
