SMALL BOWL mix together LARGE BOWL mix together
Ingredients:
- 1 cup flour 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tsp baking powder 2 TB melted butter
- 2 TB sugar 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
Recipe:
- Add dry to wet, mixing only to dampen. Add more milk to make a batter slightly thicker than heavy cream. Cook on an ungreased griddle or nonstick frying pan.
- Drop fruit ( blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, bananas, etc.) on pancakes just after placing them on the fire. Turn only once.
Variations:
- Buttermilk: 1/2 tsp baking soda instead of powder. Substitute buttermilk for milk
- Whole wheat: 1/3 cup whole wheat flour, 1/3 cup white flour. Substitute molasses for sugar
- Oatmeal: Heat 1/2 cup milk, add 1/2 cup quick oatmeal. Let stand 10 minutes.Reduce flour to 2 TB
