Peach Kuchen

In Advance: 

Preheat oven to 400º

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, cold
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp salt
  • 12 canned peach halves, drained
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Recipe:

  1. Pulse butter, flour, baking powder, and salt in processor until crumbly  with some pieces the size of small peas.
  2. Pat into 9×13 baking pan., covering bottom and sides
  3. Arrange peaches, cover with sugar and cinnamon and bake at 400º for 15 minutes.
  4. Lower heat to 350º
  5. Mix yolks with cream, pour over peaches and bake for 30 minutes longer
