This dish is one of my favorites. It is perfect for this and that and goes well with so on and so forth.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb asparagus
- 3 TB soy sauce
- 2 TB real maple syrup
- 1/4 cup sesame oil
Recipe:
- Trim tough ends from asparagus and cut into 1 1/2 in long pieces
- Add to boiling water and cook 2 minutes until crisp-tender
- Drain and plunge immediately into ice water to cool and set color
- Drain when cool
- Marinate for 2 to 4 hours in soy, syrup and sesame oil
- Serve with toothpicks
