Ingredients:
- 1 3/4 cup scalded milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 TB butter
- 2 cups flour
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1/4 yeast cake or 1/4 tsp heaping powdered yeast
- 1/4 cup lukewarm water
Recipe:
- Add salt and butter to hot milk. Let cool
- Dissolve yeast in warm water
- Add yeast mixture and flour to cooled milk mixture
- Cover and let rise in fridge overnight
Notes:
In the morningĀ beat egg whites until stiff
Add egg yolks to milk mixture, then fold in egg whites
Bake on hot waffle iron
