Yeast Waffles

Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cup scalded milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 TB butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1/4 yeast cake or 1/4 tsp heaping powdered yeast
  • 1/4 cup lukewarm water

Recipe:

  1. Add salt and butter to hot milk. Let cool
  2. Dissolve yeast in warm water
  3. Add yeast mixture and flour to cooled milk mixture
  4. Cover and let rise in fridge overnight

Notes:

In the morningĀ  beat egg whites until stiff

Add egg yolks to milk mixture, then fold in egg whites

Bake on hot waffle iron
