In Advance:
Preheat oven to 350º
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butte
- 1/2 cup confectioners sugar 10
- 2 cups unbleached flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Recipe:
- Process butter and sugar together until fluffy
- Add flour sifted with salt and baking powder, process until well combined
- Press into 9 inch square pan
- Prick dough in pretty pattern with tines of a fork, pushing the fork to the bottom of the pan
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Top should be slightly colored, not golden
- Cut cake into small pieces still in the pan while hot. Let cool and remove pieces from pan.
