- 9 cloves garlic, peeled
- 6 large baking potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 1 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
- 4 TB unsalted butter
- 1 cup whole milk

Recipe:
- Place potatoes and garlic in a large saucepan. Cover with water, add 1/4 tsp. salt and bring to the boil. Lower heat and simmer for 15 or 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender when pierced with a knife. Drain, return potatoes and garlic to pan and heat briefly over low heat, shaking pan until all moisture is gone.
- In microwave heat milk and butter until butter melts.
- Put potatoes and garlic through a potato ricer or mash with potato masher until smooth. Add milk and butter mixture gradually, stirring until smooth. Season with remaining salt and pepper to taste.
